I bought the Jiusi WB12Pro after requests to test the brand. My package included three 3S batteries and a charger with storage mode, immediately catching my attention. Driving left a good impression, although the fan stopped working.

The Charger Was a Package Highlight

My box contained a mains-powered ToolkitRC charger with charge and storage modes, a practical difference from the small USB chargers supplied with other cars.

It also included transmitter, wing to fit, an extra pinion and three batteries. That was my purchased package, rather than mandatory contents for every WB12Pro listing. Check the selected variant’s charger and battery count.

Use the correct program for the battery chemistry and follow both battery and charger instructions. Storage mode is useful but does not make every setting suitable for every pack.

A Buggy with Plenty of Adjustments

The car has oil shocks, anti-roll bars and adjustable camber/alignment links. I also found an adjustable motor mount, servo saver and a layout strongly reminiscent of the Rlaarlo X12S.

Resemblance is not verified parts compatibility. I suggested shared components might be possible, but did not demonstrate a parts transplant.

The transmitter felt familiar, with trim and travel limits. My car had no gyro. Driving, the brakes were more usable than my bench check had led me to fear.

Two Battery Tests

I began GPS runs on the original batteries, reading 63 km/h and repeating that reading.

With the HobbyKing-supplied Turnigy LiHV I read 68 km/h. Those are session results with the installed gearing and available space, not advertised model speed or a promise for every WB12Pro.

I did not test the extra pinion to establish its effect. Calling it a possible speed pinion remained an interpretation during recording.

The LiHV test does not establish universal compatibility. Confirm electronics’ maximum voltage and an appropriate charging program first. The channel battery guide explains the difference from conventional LiPo.

Dirt, Jumps and the Fan Problem

The video also includes dirt and jumps. I found no body or structural breakages afterwards, but the fan had stopped working. That failure is part of the result and requires inspection before further demanding use.

I also thought the ESC wiring looked thin. This is an assembly observation, without a recorded wiring fault or temperature test supporting a diagnosis.

My Takeaway

I liked the easy driving and equipment received, especially the charger. Advertised speed alone would not determine my decision: my readings differed and the fan’s condition mattered too.

  1. Jiusi WB12Pro

Check battery count and charger for the variant. The review package included three 3S batteries and a ToolkitRC charger with storage mode.

  2. Turnigy BOLTX LiHV 3S 2400 mAh — XT60

The BOLTX pack cited in channel tests. Confirm dimensions, XT60 and charger/electronics compatibility with fully charged LiHV voltage; testing one car does not validate every revision.
