The video review (Spanish)

Good reviews gave me high expectations for the Wltoys 124008. My experience differed: throttle response and skatepark breakages left me unwilling to keep the complete car.

What I Saw on Opening

It is a brushless four-wheel-drive buggy with plastic chassis and front/rear differentials. Its enclosed-format battery was inconvenient with my usual chargers.

Suspension bounced considerably. Fixed links offered less adjustment than I wanted. The transmission interested me because I had used its components in 124017/144010 upgrades.

That does not establish compatibility for every similar-looking spare; those adaptations are documented separately.

Electronics Response Did Not Convince Me

From initial checks I noticed less response than expected and an apparent throttle delay, while steering seemed quick.

This is a user assessment: I did not instrumentally measure latency or top speed, nor diagnose a specific ESC fault from impressions.

Asphalt and Dirt

I could control it on asphalt. Dirt produced more nervous reactions, making me consider differential work. That adjustment was neither completed nor compared in this test, so remains a possibility rather than demonstrated solution.

My personal reference was the Wltoys 124017, which I enjoyed more, rather than two identically configured laboratory test cars.

What Happened at the Skatepark

After the first fall discussed, I already found wing and suspension damage. Later inspection also showed heavy spur wear and a bent motor shaft. Subsequent launches were harsher after the car was already damaged.

Airborne throttle corrections were difficult too. I could not raise the nose as expected; braking tipped it forward.

The footage cannot establish which part started every problem or exclude a bad landing’s influence. I acknowledge that possibility. This was one car and session, rather than a controlled durability test of the entire range.

My Conclusion After Dismantling

I would not recommend it based on my experience. I chose to reuse parts in other projects rather than rebuild it completely.
