The video review (Spanish)
I took the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator straight to the skatepark to explore jumping and what my conventional metal-chassis car could withstand. I finished happy, although the session brought two problems and braking that needed attention.
Version and Package Received
The video distinguishes this version from the Carbon. Mine included a 2200mAh 3S XT60 battery, transmitter, USB charger, spare parts and seals, tools and a wheelie bar to fit. Wheels were separate and I had to finish applying body stickers.
That was my package, rather than guaranteed contents for every current offer. Check the selected version and package.
It is marketed as mini 1/10, but looked surprisingly close in size to my 1/12 buggy. Actual dimensions and transport needs matter more to me than advertised scale alone.
Ready for Fun
I like the metal chassis, hex screws, receiver box and finish details, plus lighting and anti-roll bars.
Suspension mounting positions and preload are adjustable, but the arms lack the range of adjustable links. My purpose was jumping and fun, rather than competition setup.
I fitted the wheelie bar and used the supplied electronics. This test precedes the later replacement-ESC preparation. Do not mix the two configurations when assessing stock behaviour.
What Happened During Jumps
The session included harsh landings and attempts at good footage. The overall impression was very positive: the car kept running without a structural break ending the day.
It did not emerge intact:
- The ESC came unstuck, requiring a stop to secure it.
- A front-light wire broke, stopping the lights.
Those were specific failures on my outing. A good overall jumping result does not justify calling it indestructible.
Braking Was My Least Favourite Part
Braking felt abrupt, especially when correcting attitude in the air. Sometimes releasing or slightly moving the trigger seemed to apply excessive braking.
I had not isolated the cause in this review and planned transmitter/electronics checks. This is not a settled diagnosis for all Omni Terminators.
There is no speed or runtime measurement here. The conclusions concern skatepark use.
What Happened Next
I kept the car because I liked its size and jumping fun, allowing for securing components and investigating braking.
Later I reinforced the body and changed the ESC. The preparation guide explains that work and the experimental battery test’s limitations. Both posts appear on the model page.
