The video review (Spanish)

I was eager to try the MJX 10304 after enjoying its bigger 7303 sibling. Opening it, I liked its looks and assembly details. The first track outing differed: keeping straight was difficult and a small correction could turn the car sideways.

This post covers that initial test. Later work changed the outcome; see the MJX 10304 setup guide.

What I Liked on Opening

Mine had a Polo-style body, another wheel set, springs and body accessories. Underneath were separate electronics, a gyro and XT60 connector.

I particularly liked body lighting connected through contacts, avoiding a wire to unplug whenever removing it. Magnetic mounting proved less convenient than expected because careful support alignment was necessary when replacing it.

The car offers camber/alignment adjustment, shock positions and anti-roll bars. I also noticed play that raised steering concerns, without yet identifying the later handling problem’s cause.

Trouble Appeared When Correcting Direction

On asphalt it could start straight, then snap sideways when I corrected. That undermined confidence; when it responded, the correction felt late.

Those are impressions, not a servo or transmitter latency measurement. I suspected several causes without a settled diagnosis.

The gyro did not solve it. After trying settings I stopped wanting to push a car I was not enjoying. Recommending it as successful out of the box would misrepresent that outing.

Lowering It Was Not Enough

I reduced travel with limit screws and checked alignment. It remained nervous and could roll over on higher-grip tyres.

My 1/10 track wheels also presented offset and clearance problems. Similar overall scale does not establish wheel suitability.

I finished by proposing differential inspection. That work had not happened in this first video, so I cannot attribute a solution to it yet.

Scope of the Initial Conclusion

My poor experience concerned asphalt and the received setup. There was no complete dirt test or comparative lap timing, and I do not conclude that every car has identical adjustment.

As received, mine was not something I would recommend for uninspected out-of-box circuit use. Electronics and looks did not outweigh the driving difficulty.

A Second Chance

I subsequently checked differentials, alignment, springs and radio, then returned to similar use. The improvement allowed straight driving, corrections and enjoyment.

Read what I changed and the result before relying on this first impression alone. The model page collects both stages.

The reference comes from the continuation. My recommendation depends on inspecting the assembly and understanding the adjustments my car required.
