This guide's video (Spanish)
After the first Python test on 4S, I prepared a motor fan. I wanted extra cooling before more hot-weather use and documented the complete installation.
Trial-Fit Before Tightening
The set includes a fan, adjustable mount and screws. I first positioned it around the motor to check space and cable routing.
Check the supported motor diameter and height with the body fitted. A listing saying “large motors” does not establish fit for every chassis, motor and body combination.
Check the Power Supply
I found a spare power port on my receiver and tested operation. Before repeating this, check polarity, BEC voltage and permissible current, as well as the fan’s voltage rating.
I did not connect the fan directly to traction-battery wires or treat the port name as a compatibility guarantee. This test concerns my receiver and fan.
Route the Cable While the Box Is Accessible
I dismantled the necessary parts to lift the electronics box and route the cable through its entry, before refitting the support, servo and cover.
I checked for trapped wiring and transmission clearance, and reviewed antenna position. Closing the box does not by itself prove any particular water protection is retained.
Check with the Body Fitted
With everything secured, I checked fan rotation, steering movement and car operation, then fitted the body to confirm clearance and absence of vibration during that check.
What This Video Demonstrates
The installation works on the bench. There is no before/after temperature table under equal load, so I claim neither a specific temperature reduction nor measured motor-life improvement.
This is not the announced 6S driving test either; that outing remained pending. A fan does not replace monitoring temperature and reviewing gearing, assembly and conditions if the motor gets too hot.
